Overview of Ghisoni
Located in the heart of Corsica, the village of Ghisoni is a peaceful mountain haven that has preserved its authenticity. Belonging to the Fium’Orbo-Castellu community of communes, it extends across a territory of 12,460 hectares — from the Renosu massif to the Inzecca gorges — offering landscapes of great diversity. The village itself, perched at 650 metres altitude, is surrounded by Laricio pine and beech forests and crossed by the Fiumorbo river. It consists of several typical hamlets reflecting the pastoral life and local history, including the Capanelle mountain pastures at higher altitude — the heart of the ski resort and a stage on the GR20.
