Ghisoni-Capanelle ski resort, 15 km from Ghisoni village, is gathering place for sliding enthusiasts in preserved setting. It often opens in February during local school holidays or more depending on snow. The Capanelle name comes from an old shepherd’s hut serving today as refuge on the famous GR20 long-distance hiking trail. The ski domain ranging 1,580 to 1,870 m altitude comprises two parts: the lower part at the Pietra Niella drag-lift base with first car park; the upper part at Capaghjolu drag-lift departure with larger-capacity car park.
