Val Louron is a human-scale resort, organised very functionally around its ski area base. At 1,450 metres altitude, it consists of a few residences and chalets offering direct ski-in ski-out access to the entire ski area. This immediate proximity is one of its greatest assets, allowing parents to watch their children on the slopes from the terrace of their accommodation. The ski area, rising to 2,100 metres, has been specifically designed for gradual progression. The lower part is an immense beginner area — one of the most well-regarded in the Pyrenees — with numerous green runs served by easy drag lifts. As you gain altitude, blue then red runs appear, offering fine panoramic descents facing the Lac de Genos-Loudenvielle and the valley summits.
