Saint-Véran in summer
In this village, it is the authentic streets and wild natural setting that draw visitors. The three main attractions are the Chateau Renard observatory, the Maison du Soleil — two venues dedicated to astronomy — and the Soum museum, devoted to the life and traditions of bygone days. Facing due south, Saint-Veran also has around thirty sundials scattered across facades along its lanes. Numerous walking and mountain biking outings are possible in the surrounding area.

Molines and Saint-Veran have a small alpine ski area of 33 km of runs. Family-friendly and accessible to all, the sunny ski area extends from 1,740 to 2,830 m altitude. With 7 green and 12 blue runs, the ski area has over half its runs suited to beginners and relaxed skiers. Steeper terrain enthusiasts are also well served with 12 red and 2 black runs. From the top of the runs, the view extends over a large part of the Queyras and the Mont Viso.

On the cross-country side, the domain is linked to Molines-en-Queyras. On the Saint-Veran side, one route takes you to the Blanche mountain lodge at 2,500 metres altitude. On the Molines side, one route leads to the Col d’Agnel at 2,744 m altitude. On the Ceillac side, one trail even leads to the Izoard summit. Of course, these runs are unsecured and should only be tackled when conditions are favourable.
