At the entrance, Saint-Francois-Longchamp 1450 marks the first resort level, with a few residences at the foot of the slopes, a calm atmosphere and direct lift access. A little higher, the Les Longes sector (Saint-Francois-Longchamp 1550) offers a transition between chalets and residences in a wooded setting appreciated for its peace. The lively heart of the resort, Saint-Francois-Longchamp 1650, concentrates most shops, services, entertainment and ski-in ski-out access. This is where you find the rail sledge, the spa centre and the main lifts to the Grand Domaine. Above, the villages of Montgellafrey and Montaimont, on the flanks of the Cheval Noir, preserve a rural charm with chapels, lauze-stone roofs and pastoral life — perfect for a more authentic stay. At Montaimont you also access the Grand Coin Nordic ski area, the closest to the resort.
