This relatively flat and accessible profile is ideal for fluid sliding, far from the demanding gradients of high-altitude sites. The ski area totals 35 km of trails groomed daily for both skating and classic technique, linking the communes of Vallouise-Pelvoux and Les Vigneaux. The ski area is structured around four distinct zones: the Les Vigneaux sector with bucolic routes alongside the Gyronde river, the Pelvoux sector with more open and sunny areas, the Vallouise plain as a central hub, and the more enclosed Onde sector, popular for its freshness and technical character. This is where skiers can take on the long La Gyronde trail (red, 10.5 km) or practise on shorter loops. The Vallouise is also equipped for sport: a homologated biathlon stadium, accessible to the general public for initiation sessions (laser or lead) supervised by professionals. A fun boardercross completes the offering. The Nordic welcome chalet groups ticketing, a warm room, changing rooms and equipment hire. Though the moderate altitude (1,200 m average) makes the site sensitive to mild spells, snowmaking supplements natural snow on the Onde loop and the biathlon stadium. For non-skiers, 30 km of marked pedestrian and snowshoe routes are available.
