Montchavin and Les Coches form a complementary duo: two village resorts linked ski-in ski-out, each with its own identity. Montchavin, the older of the two, has preserved a traditional Savoyard architecture: stone chalets, lauze-stone roofs, narrow lanes and a lively village centre — an authentic atmosphere, far from high-altitude resort urbanism. Les Coches, created in the 1980s, adopts a more contemporary mountain style, with timber-clad residences, pedestrian squares and easy access to ski lifts. Together they form a human-scale, well-organised resort, with shops, ski schools, activities and quick links to La Plagne, Les Arcs and the heart of Paradiski.
