Luz-Ardiden is a snow area whose ski area extends from 1,700 to 2,470 metres altitude. Access is from the village of Luz-Saint-Sauveur via a 12 km road, famous for its hairpin bends that have become a Tour de France legend. The resort has two linked ski-in ski-out entry points: the Bederet sector (1,680 m) and the Aulian sector (1,730 m) — the heart of the resort with its main ski area base. The ski area is particularly appreciated for its wide-open spaces and varied profile. The Aulian sector, with its beginner area and wide blue runs, is perfect for families and intermediate skiers. The wilder Bederet sector and the runs served by the Caperettes chairlift offer a more technical and sporty playground for experienced skiers, with superb red and black runs — all in a spectacular setting open to the highest summits of the Pyrenees.
