The architecture of Le Grand-Bornand reflects a rich heritage and a respect for alpine traditions. The resort is home to nearly 400 century-old chalets, recognisable by their stone bases, timber facades and two-pitched roofs covered in ancelles (wooden shingles). Le Grand-Bornand Village is organised around its central square, its church with the iconic onion-domed bell tower and its shops.
