The Gavarnie-Gedre ski resort is situated on the Prade Cirque plateau, above the famous village of Gavarnie. Access to the ski area is via the road from Gedre, offering increasingly spectacular views as you ascend. Once at the foot of the slopes at 1,850 metres, skiers discover a human-scale ski area entirely focused on the exceptional panorama of the Breche de Roland and the summits of the Gavarnie Cirque. The ski area is particularly renowned for its incredible green run Les Marmottes. Nearly 6 kilometres long, it is the longest green run in the Pyrenees, allowing beginners and children to enjoy a real gentle descent amidst grandiose landscapes. The rest of the ski area offers varied runs for all levels in a serene and preserved atmosphere.
