Perched on the south face of Mont Ventoux, on the Bédoin side, at an altitude of 1,417 metres, the Chalet Reynard, also known as Mont Ventoux Sud, is an emblematic site offering a diversity of activities, mainly in summer. In winter, although the ski resort is rarely open due to variable snow conditions, it can occasionally open. In summer, the site transforms into a real paradise for cyclists and mountain bike enthusiasts, notably thanks to its Bike Park. This is also on the official route up Mont Ventoux: the fearsome Bédoin ascent.

Le Chalet Reynard is a former refuge converted into a restaurant, situated at the junction of the D974 and D164 roads — linking Bedoin and Sault respectively — near the summit of Mont Ventoux. Its traditional stone-and-timber architecture blends harmoniously into the mountain landscape, offering visitors a gourmet break with an unbeatable view of the surroundings. To the south, a few chalets, some available for hire. To the north (south-facing), 2 drag lifts and 4 ski runs.

In summer, Le Chalet Reynard becomes a convergence point for cyclists from around the world, eager to take on the mythical challenge of the Mont Ventoux ascent. Mountain bikers can also enjoy the Chalet Reynard Bike Park, with three downhill tracks of different difficulty levels, featuring timber obstacles, bumps and banked turns. Access to the tracks is via a drag lift, ridden standing on the pedals — a fun and sporty experience.

In winter, the Chalet Reynard ski area still appears on the maps, with two drag lifts and four runs, but opens very rarely due to insufficient snowfall — no regular opening dates are given. However, the location lends itself well to snowshoeing, ski touring or simply contemplating a snow-covered Ventoux. The restaurant is sometimes accessible, but without a proper organised ski area. It is therefore a place for passing through or free winter exploration, much more than an active ski resort.
