The Villard-de-Lans alpine ski area extends across the slopes of the Balcon Est du Vercors, between 1,050 and 2,050 metres altitude. Together with Correncon-en-Vercors, it forms a coherent 125 km ski area for all levels, in a setting of fir trees and limestone ridges typical of the massif. Easily accessible from the village via the Cote 2000 gondola, the ski area offers long panoramic blue runs, fun red runs, a few technical black runs and a well-isolated beginner area. Generous sunshine and artificial snowmaking reinforce the appeal of this family ski area, popular for its relaxed atmosphere. Alternative sliding activities — snowparks, boardercross and fun pistes — complete the offering. The natural setting between forests and wide plateaus gives a genuine identity to this human-scale ski area, ideal for family or group holidays.
