Vallorcine is linked by cable car to the Balme ski area, which it shares with the Tour village at the end of the Chamonix valley. This ski area extends between 1,453 and 2,270 metres altitude and offers around 29 km of varied runs. It is particularly appreciated for its sunshine, its wide open runs on the Tour sector and its fine forest descents on the Vallorcine side. With a majority of blue and red runs, it suits intermediate skiers and families perfectly, while offering some challenges for good skiers. The panoramas over the Chamonix valley and Mont Blanc massif are spectacular.
