Alpine ski area — Valfréjus

Located in Savoie in the Haute Maurienne Vanoise valley, the Valfrejus ski area offers 70 kilometres of runs. Ranging from 1,550 to 2,737 metres altitude, it has a total vertical drop of 1,200 metres. The ski area stands out for its modern ski lifts — notably two efficient gondolas (Arrondaz and Punta Bagna) — and for its dual character, blending forest skiing with high-altitude atmosphere. The heart of the ski area is accessible via the Arrondaz gondola, which leads to a vast plateau at 2,200 metres. This sector is much appreciated for its wide runs through a larch forest, offering pleasurable and family-friendly skiing. From there, the Punta Bagna gondola takes skiers to the summit at 2,737 metres, offering a high-mountain atmosphere, spectacular panoramas and access to black runs and freeride routes. In total, the ski area has 24 runs (3 green, 11 blue, 6 red and 4 black) served by 10 ski lifts. Valfrejus is also known for its fun areas, including the Bob Park — a 2 km toboggan run. The Valfrejus lift pass includes access to the neighbouring resort of La Norma, the two sites being linked by a free shuttle. 6-day (and over) passes give access to the entire Haute Maurienne Vanoise domain (350 km), with one day at each of Aussois, Val Cenis, Bessans and Bonneval-sur-Arc.
