Nestled at 1,250 metres altitude, the Gresse-en-Vercors ski area offers a privileged setting for alpine skiing. As the highest village in the massif, the resort benefits from an exceptional panorama dominated by the impressive Grand Veymont and with unbeatable views of the Mont Aiguille. The alpine ski area extends from 1,250 to 1,750 m altitude across two main sectors — Les Alleyrons and Pierre Blanche — offering a total of 20 kilometres of skiing. 11 ski lifts serve the 27 runs. The ski area stands out for its family character, particularly suited to learning and first-time skiing. Beginners have dedicated secured zones at the ski area base, plus a children’s snow garden managed by the French Ski School for children from age 4. The distribution of runs allows natural progression: 9 green and 7 blue runs are ideal for gentle initiation and improvement. More experienced skiers enjoy 8 red and 3 black runs, including the ungroomed Les Cotilles and Le Grand Brisou for more technical descents. Beyond traditional alpine skiing, the resort offers a beginner-friendly snowpark, two boardercross tracks (Family and Family Expert), an easy mogul piste (Cascade de Oups), a permanent slalom stadium and a small ski jump. For a different and fun sliding experience, the resort also has a snow tubing piste — riding inflatable rings down a purpose-built track, accessible to all.
