Nestled in the heart of the Grandes Rousses massif, the Oz-Vaujany ski area is a privileged and more affordable gateway to one of the world’s largest skiing areas: the Alpe d’Huez Space. Open from late November to late April, this family domain offers a complete skiing experience, combining the charm of its runs with the immensity of an exceptional ski area. Ideal for families and beginner to intermediate skiers, Oz-Vaujany is the sensible alternative for high-altitude skiing without breaking the bank. The Oz-Vaujany sector alone forms a substantial and varied ski area, totalling 53 km of skiing across 30 runs served by 28 ski lifts. Particularly appreciated for its convivial atmosphere and forest runs, it guarantees gentle learning and serene skiing days. Return to the resort is especially facilitated by runs like the blue Chevreuils piste, ensuring a relaxed end of day for skiers. Labelled Famille Plus, the resorts of Oz 3300 and Vaujany offer the comfort of a ski-in ski-out village where everything is accessible on foot. Oz-Vaujany’s major asset lies in its direct connection to the rest of the Alpe d’Huez Space. Via the Alpette and Poutran gondolas, skiers are quickly propelled towards the summits, accessing all 250 km of runs. The more experienced can launch from the Pic Blanc at 3,330 metres to descend the Sarenne — the world’s longest run at 16 km — or tackle the world’s greatest vertical drop (2,205 metres) down to Enversin d’Oz. This flexibility allows budgeting options: you can opt for a more economical pass limited to the Oz-Vaujany sector and occasionally add a daily complement to explore the entire large domain.
