The Massif des Brasses is home to an excellent Nordic skiing site on the Plaine-Joux plateau (commune of Bogeve), between 1,220 and 1,300 metres altitude. The ski area offers nearly 40 kilometres of trails (around 44 km according to some sources) groomed for both classic and skating technique, crossing varied landscapes of forests and clearings with views of Mont Blanc. It includes several trails of different levels (green, blue, red, one black), as well as marked snowshoe routes. A Nordic lodge on site provides equipment hire, a warm room and information. The site is labelled Nordic France and is very popular for its tranquillity and environmental quality.
