The Meribel Nordic ski area is modest but very high quality, concentrated around the Plan de Tueda nature reserve. It offers around 25 km of cross-country trails groomed for both skating and classic technique, in a setting of fir trees, frozen lakes and spectacular mountains. It is one of the finest Nordic settings in the 3 Vallees, appreciated for its calm, visible wildlife and accessibility from Meribel-Mottaret. Snowshoe routes, groomed pedestrian paths and discovery areas (wildlife, geology, refuge) complete the gentle offering. It is not a large-scale Nordic centre, but a space for contemplation and relaxed skiing, perfectly integrated into the protected environment of the adjacent Vanoise National Park.
