Nestled at 1,100 metres altitude on the commune of Habere-Poche, in the heart of the Vallee Verte, the Moises Nordic ski area is a real gem for lovers of calm and wide-open spaces. Nicknamed the balcony of Lake Geneva, this preserved plateau offers immediate escape into a natural setting reminiscent of the vast Scandinavian or Canadian expanses. Far from the crowds of the large alpine resorts, Les Moises offers a human-scale ski area totalling around 16 kilometres of groomed trails for both skating and classic technique. The fluid and fun layout winds harmoniously between fir forests and birch clearings, offering remarkable panoramas over Lake Geneva below. Nordic skiers of all levels find what they are looking for with three main loops: the green Les Planeurs for gentle initiation (3 km), the blue Le Bois de Bouleau for progression (5 km) and the red Les Moises (8 km) for skiers in search of rhythm and distance. When snow conditions allow, the ski area opens out via the linking route to the Col du Feu — a fine wild escapade of around 8 km one way for the most enduring. The plateau is also a privileged place for biathlon initiation. A particular feature of Les Moises is its Nordic evenings: night sessions when the trails are illuminated, offering a magical skiing experience under the stars. The Nordic Lodge is the convivial hub of the ski area, offering equipment hire, a waxing room and a comfortable warm room.
