The Glieres Plateau Nordic ski area is renowned for the quality of its 29 km of groomed and maintained trails, suited to both classic and skating cross-country skiing. It offers 8 trails of different levels: 2 green for initiation, 1 blue, 2 red and 3 black for more experienced skiers. At an average altitude of 1,450 metres, the plateau generally benefits from good snow cover. Several Nordic lodges offer equipment hire, warm rooms and sometimes dining. The preserved natural environment and panoramas over the surrounding mountains make it an exceptional Nordic skiing site.
