Located in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, at the gateway to the Verdon, the La Colle Saint-Michel Nordic ski area is a well-regarded destination for its calm atmosphere and preserved natural setting. Nestled on vast plateaus between 1,450 and 1,800 metres altitude, the site offers a 100% nature experience, with trails on natural snow alternating between larch forests and wide open spaces. The ski area offers 40 kilometres of cross-country trails, groomed for both classic and skating technique. The 5 marked routes offer varied levels, suited to both learners and experienced skiers. The offering includes an initiation trail (2 km), two blue trails (Le Caire 5 km and Le Basset 8 km) and two red trails (La Siniere 14 km and Les Champons 21 km). The Les Champons Nordic route — a 21 km loop at around 1,700 m altitude — is particularly appreciated for its landscapes. For winter walkers, 3 marked snowshoe routes are also available. The Nordic ski lodge, the central welcome point, provides all necessary services: equipment hire, pass sales and a heated warm room.
