Located at the Lispach lake departure around the lake, the site deploys 50 km trails in preserved forests and peatlands. Its major strength is connection to neighbouring Gerardmer and Xonrupt domains, forming France’s North-East’s largest Nordic network with 100 km cumulative runs. The domain offers 50 km daily-maintained trails for classic and skating. The site has 8 marked runs (3 green, 2 blue, 3 red). Green runs like Tour du Lac (2.5 km) or Decou’Verte (2.5 km) ideal for gentle immersion. More experienced cross-country skiers appreciate red runs, notably Les Champis (16 km) offering 360-degree panorama, or Grouvelin (9 km) assuring Gerardmer and Xonrupt link. The site’s family reputation relies on quality infrastructure. Beginners have free, safe initiation area, the Jardin d’Anice at piste departure. For variety, the Nordic Park (on Decou’Verte run) lets you enjoy bumps, banked turns and jumps. A free Nordic Escape Game, Operation Black Snowflake, is proposed on green runs. The station has complete biathlon stadium with permanent shooting range where ESF offers initiation. The Nordic domain doesn’t forget non-skier companions. A specific paid run, The White Forest (3-6 km), is groomed and secured for pedestrians, snowshoes and fatbikes. Plus, 10 marked snowshoe circuits (free access, unmaintained) and a 1.5 km lake discovery trail allow site exploration. 9 picnic areas dot the runs and free toboggan run (with under-6 zone) is accessible at jump foot. The Nordic lodge at piste departure centralises essential services: equipment hire (cross-country, snowshoes, toboggans), cafeteria, warm room and toilets.
