For cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, Avoriaz stands out with a complete and preserved offering — entirely free of charge. The Avoriaz Nordic ski area, accessible from the Falaise district, is mainly deployed on the Proclou sector at 1,650 m altitude. Far from the bustle, the experience focuses on calm, contemplation and wellbeing — an invitation to breathe deeply in the silence of the snowy forests. The site offers a trail network totalling 23 km, across seven marked routes of different levels: 2 green, 2 blue, 2 red and 1 black. All trails are laid out for both classic and skating technique. The routes wind through fir forests and open onto plateaus with exceptional views of the surrounding summits. Access to the Nordic ski area is entirely free. A pedestrian pass is however required for circuits using ski lifts. The ski area includes 3 km of shared spaces with other users, including pedestrians. Access from Morzine is easy via the Super-Morzine gondola and the Zore chairlift.
