Chapelle-des-Bois is the largest Nordic ski area in the Val de Mouthe, on the Franco-Swiss border in the heart of the Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park. Sitting between 1,080 and 1,375m altitude, the village lives and breathes Nordic skiing: 127km of cross-country trails, from beginner-friendly blue routes to the most demanding black runs, plus an extensive network of snowshoe trails. The Grande Traversée du Jura links the village to Bellefontaine, Foncine-le-Haut and Bois-d’Amont.
